Closing my credit card account

I spoke to a consuktant a month ago and she advised me to go to a branch in order to close my account so on saturday i went to the branch and the help desk consultant tells me i must call and close my account so thats what i did was on a call for 15mins and the consultant literally dissaparead on me because it was they knock off time.So i called on monday and was on hold for a very long time.I would like yo close my credit card account as im paying a fee every month for an account i dont even use and want closed.
