Closing my cheque account

I’m so appalled by fnb! I left fnb for nedbank for their steep bank charges. My card incurred costs because I didn’t officially close it down and I haven’t been using it for 3 months. I agreed to pay the costs but fnb is still making it difficult for me to close my account saying I must go to the branch. Firstly we’re on lockdown how on earth should I go past the road blocks without a permit? Also I should risk my life just to close my account or else “my account will continue to be incurring charges” if I don’t physically walk 6km to my nearest branch to close the account? Now I don’t regret leaving for nedbank really this is the craziest thing i’ve Heard!! I’ve closed my absa account last week telephonically. Why is fnb asking me to do ridiculous things? I’m not happy
