Closing a credit card with FNB is a nightmare

On the 22nd of May 2024 I called the credit card department requesting to close my credit card, I was informed to pay the outstanding amount of R70 I did as I was told, and I was informed that within 3-5 workings days I will receive a call from someone who will assist with closing my credit card, I have not received the call and when I call the credit card department they inform me they will put me through to someone will assist me and the phone rings until they drop the line, I am feeling very fustrated because this is my second time going through this ordeal, please asssit I am being charged banking fees because my credit card is still active.
