Close my cheque account

I was under debt review and i managed to pay all my debts that i had with FNB , now they giving me run around just to get my cheque account closed , i have been told that its now on Risk 3 and i cant do anything i should wait for it to automatically close. Tell me what is so difficult to just close the account after you received the money , this bank is full of **** .
