Client financial interest not a priority

We are selling our house and as a result of FNB Home Loans department we lost our buyer and received a few nasty surprises which has an impact on my finances in no small way.
We live in a duet house and was in the process of selling, the buyer already signed contract and paid her deposit.
FNB requested the house plans, (even though it was never requested when we purchased the house) as well as the title deed plans (which was also not requested when we bought the house nor have we known that there is such a thing as title deed plans). Luckily we requested the house plans from the seller and managed to get it out of him a year and a half later but now we found it was not complete.
The problem we have is the fact that FNB did not protect us by requesting these documents (the same way it protected this buyer) and as a result we need to update both the house and title deed plans on our own account and we lost our buyer. In January we are immigrating and we are now under pressure to update both plans and find a new buyer.
We were also instructed by FNB to move an kitchen sink back in to the house, now I don't understand this as this is just an extra unit?
What is the solution?
