Claim of negligence and intentional compromise of personal information during kidnapping and hostage situation.

On 3 July 2019 I was hijacked, kidnapped and held hostage for 4 hours in Freedom Park, Soweto. I was assaulted and my life threatened with a knife and gun. During this violent ordeal my personal information, access codes to my phone and bank card codes were demanded or they would **** me. I was lucky enough for them to be apprehended in my car minutes after they removed my sim and instructed me to deactivated iCloud on my phone.

I reported the ********** incidents to FNB and today received a call from Loreal Ezrah to inform me that unfortunately I compromised my own personal information including my banking access codes and therefor FNB's policy states that in cases where a client negligently or intentionally compromise personal information FNB does not assist in the ********** transactions.

This is appalling when a victim of a violent crime still has to deal with this kind of feedback...Good bye FNB!

Reviewer Update
Good day,

A week later and to date I have had no response or resolve to this matter from FNB. Apart from an agent contacting me on 10 July to inform me that this has been escalated, no further communication has been received from anyone at FNB.

Regards,
