CIPC Registration Gimmick

Until recently my experience with FNB has been pretty much good - but then again until recently i havent neded to do anything more than the basics of having an account and transacting. I have been a loyal FNB customer since the age of about 9 or 10ys old when my father opened a savings account for me.

My last experiences with FNB have been appauling to say the least. My most recent one not being resolved at all.

FNB offer an online service where they assist you with a CIPC company registration. All you have to do is follow their online process - comlete the forms - upload your supportig docs and make the payment, they do the rest. We so they claim!!!!

My first attempt at registering online was a complete fail as i couldnt even get passed the registration of directors and personal particulars page without it bombing out and alerting e that "something went wrong, please try again later" - to no avail. On my second attempt i went into the branch to run throught the process with a consultant. I managed to complete all the steps in the process except the last one which required a payment f R175 to be made to CPIC via the FNB online banking sytem. I was not able to complete this proess as FNB's OTP service was out of order. I then had to save my aplication to retrive it and comlete the process at a later stage when the OTP sytem was back up and running.

A few days later I accesed the FNB page and tried to retrive my application only to be alerted that my ID number and the reference nuber sent to me via SMS by FNB do not match. I then call the number listed in the error message for incorrect and password resetting only to fnd out its the wrong department. Long story short i was bounced back and forth beween Bisiness Banking and New Accounts opening a lest 3 times before someone eventually said to me that the service was currently down and I should try again the next day. So I tried again the next day only to recieve the same error message. I gain called the service center and got bounced back and forth between departments only to eventually be told to send an e-mail with a screenshot of the error mesage and reference number to ********** I have made 3 follow-ups on this e-mail and have received ZERO feedback or response from FNB or CIPC. I called the service center again and got told to call CIPC directly as they deal with the applications.

My Question to FNB is this:

What is the point of offering a CIPC service if I have to make contcat with CIPC myself to try and sort this out. My dealings are with FNB not CIPC. FNB are supposed to mke the process easier by handeling the application for you through their portal, instead im no further down the line than i was when i started this process. I hav now resorted in attemting this process directly on the CIPC website which is also proving to be a challenge.

It seems the FNB CIPC offering is a marketing gimmick. My partner told me he had the same problem trying to register his company 3 years ago. As a loyal FNB customer of so many years you would expect the staff to go out of their way to assist their customers.
