Chip Sims on FNB Cards

I have banked at FNB for nearly a decade. In the last 6 months, I have had the chip sam on my Cheque and Credit card fail at the same time, my chip sam on my cheque card failed about 2 months ago and the final straw is that it failed again today - the card is less than a month old.

Every time I go to the branch they cancel my card and renew it. I wait roughly a week for a new card to be delivered and have to make arrangements to get it. in the interim I have to beg borrow cash to put in petrol and buy groceries etc. There is no investigation to find out why the cards are failing and rectify it and there is no service within the branch to replace the card immediately.

To make matters worse, it seems that the online personal banking advisors/branches seem to have no real policy on what needs to be done when there is a failure. It is totally unacceptable service. During the same time FNB happily takes a monthly premium for services that cannot be fulfilled.

I want to know what FNB will be doing to ensure that I do not have another failure.

Just followed up on the complaint to find out that it was closed on the 10 Sep without ANY feedback being supp**** to myself. I have just had to apply for a new credit card and a new cheque card. The chip sim on the credit card failed and the cheque card was "eaten" by an atm and cancelled with no reason being supp****

As follow-up to this complaint, I expect the charge of R100 for a temporary card that was charged on the 29th September 2018 to be reversed. Please let me know what is being done to correct this
