Chequing Account

I am at my wit ends with FNB, I called them on the 2 of June to close my cheque account, today is the 28 June instead they have billed me the fees for the month, account is still not closed. I refuse to pay them anything and I am sure I am the one who will deal with negative record with the credit bureau. What bullying is that?
