Cheque card blocked without warning

When I reached the till over the weekend my cheque card wouldn't work. Just declined and I even checked online and saw that my account had more than enough money. Went to the atm to draw cash and once again it got decline. What a waste of time and how embarassing to finally get to the front of the line with a trolley full of stuff and no possible way to pay for it.<br> <br> Phoned the helpline and the lady told me it's been blocked because they needed \proof of adress".
