Charged nearly double for interest - I wonder how many people won't notice.
FNB charged me nearly double the interest amount due based on my annual interest rate as reflected on my statement. - I sent secure chat messages, they didn't even try. - I phoned in, they kept transferring me. - I asked for management, they said I'll receive a call in 24-48 hours. (Still waiting and it's nearly a week) - I phoned in again, still not luck. (Is it really so hard just to look at one transaction?) - During the same call I lodged another query about a transaction that is stuck in "pending - straight", they sent me a form that I can use around this time next month. (Since my husband tried the same transaction on his card and was refunded immediately, I find it strange that I have to wait 30 days - did they even try?)
There's not a lot of money at stake here, but if I can't trust them with the small things, why would I stick around and wait until it's my retirement money they don't care about?
I responded to your email and have not received feedback from the relevant department yet.

Still no response. Tell me directly, are you sweeping this under the rug or will you attend to it? I looked at my statement and the interest amount that's nearly double of what my statement suggests remains unchanged and with no clarification?
Imagine FNB charging double the agreed interest rate on 1% of their clients every month, too small for most clients to notice, yet MILLIONS more in "profit" for FNB.
