Charged for NEW card after founding out my OLD card was never activated from an FNB Branch. Who is really at fault me or you?
I had opened a new FNB Savings Account early this year and was given a debit card which happened to be not be activated in one of your FNB Branch (Karaglen).
Every-time, I tried to do any transaction using the issued debit card after pin entry - it would decline at the stage at the retailer. Up until a certain point, I decided to go to the closest Branch near work (Rosebank) in which I was assisted by one of your consultant. And told me the debit card that I had been issued by FNB (Karaglen) was never activated. So this consultant told me she would issue me a new card and would link it to my account profile.
She then activated my new issued card and it worked perfectly. We then did some tests on the ATM to see if the card would allow my manual pin entry, in which it was successful.
Problem : "I recieved an sms on my cellphone on the 29/09/2017 stating that R90 will be debited from my account since I did a card replacement. According to my understanding why I'm I been charged for "Human error" that was done by one of your consultant at FNB (Karaglen) for not activating my card at first place? I'm not a faulty? Why I been charged/debited R90 for a card replacement, when your company is at faulty?
1. Not even two months ago, I had an un-authorized debit of R99 from a gaming company I don't even know that gained access into my account details. 2. Now it's it this R90 card replacement nonsense debit
If this (R90) card replacement debit comes through, kindly lets cut ties and close my FNB account.
I hope the new three (3) emerging banks offer better banking services than you guys are offering. Serious this banking industry needs some disruption to shaken ego-boasted banks like yourself.
