Charged a penalty when I had funds

I am appauled at my experience this morning. I went to Dis chem on the 13th of July, purchased goods to the value of R354.xx and had a balance of R140.xx AFTER the transaction, this is confirmed by the sms, email and app message from FNB

Despite my bank account being reduced by that amount, some days later I received a R100 penalty for non payment, when I called the call centre, they told me that it is because Dischem only did their banking on the 16th and therefore I was penalised since my bank charges came off on the 15th.

I tried to explain that when I went into the store I had enough funds but they didnt care. I think this is wrong and I want my R100 back!

The reference for the call is Rd ********** 643

Oh and may I just add that the lady I spoke to initially had a serious attitude problem and was not helpful at all, the more I tried to explain to her that I had funds in the account at the time of the transaction and even had a positive balance thereafter, the more she told me in a monotone voice that I did not.
