Change of banking details

My problem with FNB is regarding a debit order switching from ABSA to FNB.

All I wanted is for them to switch debit order banking details.
I am now banking with them and I have taken a loan with them last year while I was banking with Absa.
Now I am calling them to tell them that they must debit from my account with them. They gave me their conditions/procedure, that I need to get a letter from my employer that my salary will now be paid in my FNB accout or they must see that indeed my salary is going in this account. I accepted their procedure and said to them I will them call them when the salary in the account on the 26 of March.
on the 26 March I then call them and ask to change the debit order the Operator then repeated to me that they need the letter from my employer confirming that the salary goes into this account and I said to the Operator that no the only condition to do the debit order swicthing, she must also check my account and confirm herself that the salary is indeed in the account and she said it is a salary just 1 month but also ended up saying she will send a request but infect they need this letter.
May I request the Directors to check the procedure.
