change my debit date - call center not helpful

Once again a call to your call centre has resulted in a formal complaint.

I had to call twice because I was hung up on the first time. The second time I called, after numerous voice prompts and after 7 mins I got through to Arnold. I had requested to change my debit order date for my personal loan.

1. Arnold answers the call still laughing and in the middle of his conversation with his friends. 2. After 7mins and verification I had to do it all over again. 3. I told Arnold what I wanted and he said that he couldn’t change my debit date to the 27th because my pay date changes every month. I explained that my pay date is the 27th however if that is on a weekend then I get paid the Friday. Arnold kept on having to put me on hold. 4. Said he had to email someone to change my debit date – and he needed to put me on hold for 5 mins to write this email (he probably just needed more time to engage in his funny conversation with his friends) 5. When he came back he said that he had submitted the request and it will be done. So I asked if it will be in time for Dec and he said it might be but if not it will be for Jan – I told him this answer is not good enough because if there wasn’t even cash then the debit order would be rejected and I would get charges. He said oh well I can call back on Monday to confirm if its done and then ill know. WHAT kind of customer service is this?

So if my debit date isn’t changed and I get back charges these will be refunded.

I would like you to listen to this call - He was rude and abrupt. And couldn’t answer a simple question. Clearly he needs training.
