Change bank account with out letting the clients know

I app**** for a savings account in 2020/2021, I could not understand why my monthly services fee was so high, so I left it like that I went to the bank today and was told that I have a cheque account, I never asked for a cheque account, I want the problem solved asap I would also like to know what's going to happen to I get back the money I have paid reason why I am asking am I never asked for a cheque account and how long I am going to wait.
