Cash passport card is *******
While overseas I discovered that my Cash Passport card was faulty. I could not withdraw any cash at an ATM, nor at a bank teller. Prior to leaving SA, I had wanted to test my card, but was told that there is no way to do this, as it can only be done on a foreign ATM. I had to borrow money overseas, and now it's going to cost me in excess of R2000 in FNB bank fees just to repay this. FNB forex say that I have to cash out the US$s and re-convert this back to US$, and then they passed the buck by telling me to call the Cash passport number on the back of the card.

Trying to contact Cash Passport telephonically was impossible overseas as the phone numbers just don't seem to work. They barely work locally too. My calls failed several times due to engaged signals and being cut off. Eventually I got to speak to a \live"person after holding on for over 36 minutes. Unfortunately this call centre person wasn't much help either"
