CASE NUMBER: ***

Since my last complaint logged on the 18th February 2026, and even providing ane affidavit as per the request from the consultant, to which I have not heard anything. I even went as far to the bank and asked for assistance to email the affidavit, to date no feedback. I have been waiting for more that 5 days and nothing.

My case number: ***. I state under oath that the amount of R650 was not authorized by me, nor did I purchase anything online, give my card to a third party, provide my identity number, nor give my cvv number. I want my money back.

FNB security on their cards is not guaranteed and as client you will always be subjected to *****ulent transactions on your cards. No client of FNB is safe. Let's not talk about their rude and accusatory staff members that you have to deal with. March 05, 2026 will be 14 days, I want my money back.

Subject: Formal Complaint – Unresolved ***** Case and Lack of Response (Case No. ***)

Dear Sir/Madam,

I hereby formally lodge a complaint against First National Bank (FNB) regarding my unresolved ***** case, Case Number: ***.

Following my initial complaint, I received a response from FNB on 20 February 2026, with Reference Number: ***NF. After submitting a follow-up complaint, I received another response on 04 March 2026, with Reference Number: ***NF. In both instances, I was merely issued with a reference number and advised that FNB would respond within five (5) working days.

I find this response unacceptable and inconsistent with the information previously provided to me. When I reported the unauthorised transaction on my cheque account, which occurred on 17 February 2026 in the amount of R650, I was informed that the matter would take 14 working days to be resolved.

Furthermore, during my interaction with an FNB consultant, I experienced extremely poor service. The consultant was rude, insulting, and went as far as accusing me of committing the ***** myself. I was also instructed to provide a SAPS-certified affidavit. Despite informing the consultant that I had recently undergone hand surgery, I was still required to obtain the affidavit, which I nevertheless comp**** with and submitted.

According to my calculation, 14 working days have now passed, yet the unauthorised transaction has still not been refunded to my account, nor have I received a satisfactory update on the progress of the investigation.

I therefore request that the amount of R650 be refunded to my account with immediate effect and that this matter be resolved without any further delay.

I trust that FNB will treat this complaint with the urgency it deserves.

Yours faithfully,

M. M. Smith
