CARD DECLINING TRANSACTIONS WITH FUNDS AVAILABLE

It is really sad that I have to write a review about FNB every few weeks. I am still with this bank because I haven’t had time to speak to another bank to move my accounts. I have never experienced such an abysmal service delivery until FNB. I currently have a matter pending on my credit card of a missing amount of over R5000 on my credit card which FNB still hasn’t resolved until now. No one has been able to tell me where the money went, and my bankers has called me once to attempt a pathetic explanation which I immediately rebuffed. I was promised a call back and it’s been more than one week of silence.

To further add to this problem, today my card transaction was declined in a restaurant, how? How FNB? I have a fusion account with credit of R120, 000 and it currently reflects an available balance of over R77, 000 and yet I get a message of insufficient fund after my transaction was declined. I couldn’t believe it and I still don’t believe it. The embarrassment was enormous and would have been more if I didn’t have other cards with me. I immediately checked the account on the app once I got home, only to find that the account has been renamed from “private wealth fusion account” to “private wealth cheque account” but with an available balance of R77,000 still. What exactly is going on with my account? The banking app has been malfunctioning for the past few days since I fixed an amount of R100, 000. This is supposed to be the highest level of banking in FNB “FNB Private Wealth”. The bankers are not helpful, the bank is not helpful, money disappears from the accounts, cards are declining with a healthy available limit, accounts are renaming themselves and money is appearing in the wrong places. What is this really? I could have been on holidays and totally dependent on these cards. This is truly scary.

I think it is finally time I look at my options.
