Card Cancellation Nightmare
I cancelled my debit card as there was ***** activity on my account. It took FNB over a week to get me my new card. I had the card for 1 day and then on a Friday at 4pm I received an sms that my card was cancelled due to a technical error and that I should expect my new card within 5 - 7 working days. It has been 2 weeks and I have not received my new card and have had no communication from DSV on when it will be delivered. I have had to phone FNB multiple times - having the line drop every time I get to speak to an operator about it. This is unacceptable to do on a Friday as the card is only ordered the next week which means only the following week will the card be delivered. If it is FNBs fault that my card was cancelled, it should be fast-tracked to get me a new one as soon as possible. To heighten my frustration, as my card is cancelled every online account linked to that card has been suspended - Internet, netflix, snapscan, sweepsouth, google drive, uber - EVERYTHING. I am being charged cancellation fees as my accounts are bouncing and I don't have a new card to fix the cancellations. This is such a major inconvenience I have never been more disappointed in a banking service leaving me high and dry like this with no communication around getting me a card sooner. On top of the cancellation fees I am incurring, I will also be charged for this new card, which I didn't cancel or order and have to request a refund from FNB if I want the money back. I should not be charged in the first place.
