Cape Industrial Selutions / FNB

I was ****med into transferring R21 000 ( twenty one thousand rand) from my FNB business account into Cape Industrrial Solutions' account at Standard Bank, when I ordered pumps from them on the 7th February 2017. On the morning of the 9th of February when I realized that it was all a **** and my bookkeeper notified me that this company (Cape Industrial Solutions - that has a website and physical address in Vredendal in the Western Cape) did not even exist and was trading under another company's registration and tax number, I immediately called and emailed FNB.

They instructed me to complete a Reversal Request form for the transaction as there was still enough time before the money would have cleared into the Standard Bank account. When I scanned and emailed these completed forms I got an email back that instructed me to contact the ***** Department of FNB and attach the following : Account number of complainant, suspected ********** account details, SAPS case details, Affidavit and Supporting documents(proof of payment). FNB then emailed me an Auto Reply message to state that they had received my complaint and that they would respond within 24 hours.

On the 20th of February 2017 (nine working days after I had reported the incident), when I had still not heard anything from FNB, I went into the bank to enquire about the progress on the ***** notification. The bank clerk, Nombulelo Mnisi at the Middelburg Mall branch of FNB went onto the reference number that was emailed to me and said that the comment on the system said that the transaction could not be reversed as it had to be referred to the ***** Department. The note on the system further said that someone in FNB tried to contact Standard Bank but the phone just rang and then disconnected. There was no trace on the system of who the bank employee was that made this note. Furthermore I was not notified by anyone from FNB that the case had not been reported to the ***** Department. I have the proof from the ***** Department of FNB to say that they would contact me within 24 hours (their email is dated the 10th February 2017).

On the 20th of February when I went into FNB, I was handed a ***** CLAIM form by Nombulelo Mnisi and was instructed to complete it. I completed it and emailed it to Nombulelo Mnisi at the Middelburg mall and also the ***** Department on **********

I am extremely unhappy about how this matter has been handled by FNB.

Not to mention the fact that I was ****med into this ********** transaction by Cape Industrial Solutions in Vredendal.
