Can't get an FNB Gold Credit Card, Why?
I tired applying for an FNB Gold Credit Card over a month ago via the FNB App, which got declined. I then proceeded to go into the bank the same day to query. The bank teller I spoke was perplexed as to why a credit facility has been blocked on my profile. She was really helpful and I emailed her my payslips, for her to take it up with FNB Credit. It has been over a month and I still do not know why FNB will not issue me with a credit card? I have tried calling the credit devision 5 times today, and my call either just gets passed on or dropped!? I have been with FNB for well over a decade now and have always been extremely happy with my bank, until now. Why can't anyone tell me why I cannot be issued with a credit card!? I was harassed by the credit department for years, and now when the time comes that I really need this service, it is not available to me!? I am extremely dissatisfied right now!
I went to ABSA today, who I don't even have an account with and they offered me a banking profile and credit card on a silver platter. It was a quick and painless effort, with amazing service and no questions asked!
I will be applying for a home loan in the next few months and I am seriously considering moving my whole banking portfolio across to a bank that has my best interests at heart.
It's quite clear to me that FNB does not take into consideration how much money you make, how much money you have in your savings, or how long you have been with them.
Not only am I angry with a bank I once praised, I am absolutely insulted, and dissatisfied.
