Can't do and online credit check???

My wife joined FNB 3 months ago, as I had bragged so much about FNB and FNB connect, so she joined on a Spousal account. Her cellphone contract finally ended with Vodacom and when she tried to get her new phone with FNB connect, they keep on telling her that she doesn't have enough of a credit history to get a new phone. Surely FNB the techiest bank in SA has the means to do a debicheck and get someones credit rating. plus the know exactly what he monthly in and out flows into her account and can se whether she can afford a phone. So much fro bragging about FNB.
