Cant change my OTP pin without my physical card

Hi,

So I dont have a physical card with FNB anymore as I dont use this account for anything other than for my Debit Orders - So Ive now changed phones and want my Banking app to be linked to my new phone, but I can not link them because my OTP that is required for verification is linked to my old number.

I phoned the call center and they told me they can not help me unless I have my physical card for verification - I DONT HAVE ONE! And apparently there is NO other way of just changing my number to get my OTP to my new number.

THIS is the reason I moved away from FNB because of all these unreasonable things needed to do simple things - I cant even change it on my online banking, because I need my Banking App to verify the change I want to do, which I CANT DO because its linked to my old number - This is all I want to do.... is change the OTP to be sent to my new number... thats it... not rocket science!?

Honestly, id rather close the FNB account than spend half my day just to get a new card to allow me to be verified to change my number for my OTP., because I can actually jsut phone and ask to cancel my account... funny - you can phone in and cancel your account, but cant change a simple number...

Please can someone phone me that that I can change my number for my OTP!

REALLY guys ?

Reviewer Update

I received a very friendly call advising me that it is possible - I just needed to go through a few security questions and once that was done, I was able to change my number. Apologies, I can not remember who I spoke to, but she was very helpful! Thank you!
