Cannot pay my card

Last week I finally took up FNB's offer to upgrade my credit card account to private clients. Shortly thereafter I tried to transfer money into it as a payment was due and I was on holiday - I could not. I contacted my banker to ascertain the source of problem and he told me it was due to the upgrade process and I won't be able to make transfers until taking receipt of the new card. He tried to effect the transfer for me but could not - so I had to make do with what was available in there for the holiday. I did mention that a payment was due and I could not make it.

Then this (Sunday) morning I receive an SMS stating that I had not made payment and my credit card has been suspended. The accompanying phone number also is only valid during business hours, so no way of fixing it. Is this the level of service I can expect as a private client?
