CAN YOU TRUST FNB TO SAFEGUARD YOUR MONEY?

CAN YOU TRUST FNB TO SAFEGUARD YOUR MONEY

Three weeks ago I phoned FNB to cancel a debit order that I had with Telkom because I had cancelled my contract with them. Imagine my dismay then when the debit order went through as usual despite the fact that FNB had confirmed that it had been cancelled. Telkom are notorious for deliberately keeping contracts going so that they can reap as much money as possible before they lose all their customers. However, that aside, I feel betrayed by FNB as their job is to safeguard the money that we entrust to them. (God knows, we pay enough fees for this). I also feel they by betraying the customer in this way, they are aiding and abetting in Telkom's theft from innocent customers. Why is this happening? How do I trust FNB now. It would seem that Telkom would have carte blanche to help themselves to my money on a monthly basis while offering no service at all!!!! I am appalled that an institution who advertises as the bank that "Will help you" is in fact doing the opposite. The reviews speak a sad story of shoddy service, broken promises and betrayal. Who is out there to help the law-abiding citizens????? Anybody in agreement?
