Call Center Incompetence and Promotion Service Delivery Failure
We bought 2 apple watches at the iStore on the FNB promotion on the 29th of December, according to the agreement the cash paid would be moved from straight to budget at a lower interest rate within 3 to 5 business days. It has now been 8 business days, and I have phoned twice both with no results. Call 1 to customer care, which was pointless, the lady said she would log the payment so that it would be processed and would be able to see it on the app, nothing was logged, no notifications or changes on the app nor any confirmation of anything being logged. Call 2 to the number on the back of the credit card, as advised by the FNB branch at Lifestyle Centurion, the first person I spoke to had no knowledge of the promotion, and said she would transfer the call to someone who would be able to assist, the man I was transferred to also had no knowledge of the promotion, I asked to be transferred to a supervisor or someone that could assist me, he proceeded to transfer me back to the start of the call center process.
The issue is a real frustration, causing cash flow problems and the general lack of competence at the call center is very discouraging. They provide numbers to phone for assistance with regards to the promotion but no one has any knowledge of the promotion which has been running since 4 October 2017, and no one could even help me resolve the problem or even tried, they just say they don't know. Unacceptable that a bank's call center employees just answer with they don't know anything about the promotion and that is the total extent of the help they provide, please rectify this situation.
