*****.
I’m posting publicly because I have had no proper feedback on my ***** case and need this escalated.
I disputed unauthorised card transactions totaling R17 000 (between 25 May 2025 and 28 July 2025).
The problem:
On 9 January 2026, during Secure Chat with FNB Card *****, I was told my case was still under investigation.
Only after that was I provided with a rejection letter allegedly dated 11 August 2025.
This is not a minor admin issue. It goes directly to:
- procedural fairness - record accuracy - credibility of the investigation process
I am told the transactions were processed via a registered device.
None of these transactions were conducted or authorised by any of my devices.
Saying a transaction was technically possible is not the same as proving client authorisation.
Neither was there a single call about the slew of very obvious *****ulent transactions like R2 585 at a carwash.
No feedback on emails:
I have requested a written explanation and investigation basis, including:
-device identifiers -authentication method used -transaction routing/security checks -basis for liability decision -explanation for the failure to communicate the rejection outcome
Zero feedback from FNB.
At this stage, I am asking for a fair, transparent, fact-based review of the claim — not a generic rejection and contradictory case status.
It’s absolutely ridiculous that your authentication systems fail and clients are held liable.
