Business Banking

After more than 8 weeks of trying to open a business account, and in my ultimate desperation, vising your Sandton City branch, I had to give up on the process.

CIPC registration process was completed by FNB and I had received documentation FROM FNB and CIPC in this regard. Yet, after multiple phone calls and re-sending the requisite CIPC conformation (which was sent to me BY FNB), as well as having email confirmation that an account would be opened, I was again told that according to FNB, the CIPC registration had not been completed.

Your business banker I met with in Sandton didn't seem to care much either when I informed him to stop with the process as I would be going to another bank (after spending 25 minutes with your call centre while I sat there, ignored).

If this is the experience with the supposed "Best Business Bank in SA", then there really is no hope out there.

As a matter of interest, I filled in some forms at Investec, sent them the CIPC documents and now have a business account and a private banker who helped me and kept me informed every step of the way. The process took them less than 3 working days.
