Business Bank Account Closure Ordeal

I am currently in my fourth month, since January 2023, attempting to close my Business Account with FNB. I have escalated the case multiple times to ***, contacted support 6 times and have not received any feedback. However I keep getting SMS's from FNB threatening legal action due to the monthly fees they keep charging and the resulting negative balance. Ref no CAS-525893-C7C8Y3 CRM:***.

This is exactly why I moved to Capitec Business (Mercantile) for our business transactional account. With FNB you can open an account in 20min online, but just wait for the day you need to close that account. Utterly useless.

The support staff at the call center are very polite and helpful but nothing gets actioned after a phonecall. Emails are not responded to. Hello peter was my last resort.

I hope this will get someone from FNB to contact me and assist. On a more positive note, our experience with Mercantile/Capitec Business as been the complete opposite. I have the cell number for our relationship banker and she is readably available to assist with all our queries.
