Broken FNB system Freezed my accounts and **** poor service to get this resolved.
On 12 October 2022, FNB froze my cheque account, apparently because Foreign tax information was incomplete. I did however update all of this on the FNB website after receiving an sms notification some days ago. My profile shows COMPLIANT, but still my account gets frozen. There is NO notification or status shown on the FNB website ot mobile app, and I have to realise that my account has been frozen when I am trying to transact. My bank, which I have been with over 20 years, has embarrassed me today. I tried phoning my personal banker, who once again is not available. I then spoke to 3 different personal bankers, with ZERO assistance in getting the hold removed from my account. Even though they could see that my profile is showing Complaint. I was told that his system froze and he will call me back, unless he has a high call volume, then he won't... After phoning the tax department. I spent 45mintues on the phone, before someone answered. Here I was told that I have to complete another form and that they will get to my account in due course. After starting to scream and verbalising my frustration, the agent then took my details down again over the phone, before she could unfreeze my account. None of the info that was so vitally important that they had to freeze my account, was information they did not already have. No additional information was given, only confirmation of what they already had. After the freeze was lifted, I asked to speak to a team leader or Manager, who was all in meetings apparently and was transferred to an assistant team leader Nomikisi - who told me twice to go and write my complaints on social media and that no one was available to take my call. This is extremely unprofessional and your system is beyond broken! Embarrassed and disappointed 20 year+ client.
