Blocked funds

I have my personal savings funds blocked by the bank after one of their consultants advised me to upgrade my savings account to one which would apparently earn me more interest.

To my surprise I no longer have access to my funds which I deposited into the very same bank account.

This has been very frustrating as nobody seems able to assist me accordingly.
