Black customers ************** by FNB

I was unfairly treated by FNB housing finance during covid19.

It pains me to find myself in this situation again where I was denied assistant by FNB housing finance, in 2012 I lost my job and I approached FNB housing finance for the assistance of which I was denied and I was told that I don’t qualify for any assistance. My house was put into auction twice I had to borrow the money from loan sharks to save my house, on top of this I had to pay around R65000 in arrears because FNB refused to assist me. Now I find myself in the same situation where FNB housing finance refused to assist me, it seems like I created I have created this pandemic, I didn’t create this situation why should I be treated this like by FNB. On the 3 April I send my first debtors letter from my employer to FNB, but FNB didn’t respond so I called and I was told to apply through the FNB App and I did which till today still sitting on step 2 one and half month later I send a trail of emails to FNB because I was afraid that their will debit the monthly instalment but their didn’t respond instead the went ahead and debited the R3800 out of R4900 the I received from my employer, leaving me with 1100.00, even after pledge with FNB to reconsider but their did not listen, I sent email after email to FNB to get them to address my situation when they final respond I was told that my application relief fund was declined and also the my insurance does not cover me even though I will not receive any salary from my employer for the month of May, I even gave them the update letter from employer still I was refused any assistance. This is real unfair treatment and it’s put me in unnecessary arrears and possible loosing my house, because I work in a tourism industry I do not know when we going open. I have logged a complaint with FNB complain department but I didn’t received a fair answer to problem instead they also told me own up to my monthly payments. FNB promised to assist customers that are affected by the covid19 but they are doing the opposite, to me it seems like they are trying to benefit from this unfortunate situation by putting me back to arrears again because I won’t be able to pay my monthly instalment. FNB takes advantage because people like me because we are I’ll informed when comes to the rights as consumer. On top of this I suspect that FNB is overcharging me because I bought this house in 2012 for R320k, 9 years later the house still sitting at R280k it simple means I paid 40k in 9 years how is that even possible.

They play a delaying tactics so that I fail to pay and end up in arrears. There is no way this application can take a full month to be finalized.

They told me that because I don't qualify for any assistance they will called me to make special arrangements that was two weeks ago, I have not received any call from them for this special arrangements it was just another delaying tactics so that if I fail to pay arrears will be imposed on me.

This is clearly a ************** and unfair against Black customers and I will do everything in my power to have my case in human right court. Because I complain internal but my case was not addressed. They told me to apply via App it's sitting at step 2 for the past three weeks.

At first I was given wrong email address my application ended up in Namibia, I have hundreds of emails exchange between me and FNB if they need prove.
