** BEWARE WHEN REQUESTING A CREDIT CARD SETTLEMENT LETTER FROM FNB**
On 19 March 2020 I asked FNB to send me a settlement letter on my credit card account. On 20 March 2020 I was astounded to find that FNB transferred all amounts owed on my budget facility on my credit card to the straight facility. This caused my straight facility to be overdrawn, and pending transactions to be declined. To top it all off, they are now demanding that the amount exceeded on the straight facility to be paid immediately to keep my account in good standing. They also charged me a fee for the pending debits that could not go off because of their actions. What annoys me the most about the situation is that after numerous phone calls to numerous departments at FNB, I still do not know who authorized their actions, and why it was done in the first place. It scares me to think that these types of transactions can be done by FNB without my knowledge and authorization. I refuse to pay for incompetence, and would hope that I eventually am able to resolve the issue soon, without my hard earned money and good credit record being sacrificed for which in my opinion, is utter incompetence.
