BEWARE OF MINIMUM COST ON CREDIT CARD MACHINES

After selling my business, and having a new credit card machine installed, I noticed that an amount of R1284 was still deducted from my account. I did not pay attention on the 1st month, as I thought the commissions were calculated in arrears, and that I thus still owed money for sales the previous month. But when it went off again the end of Nov, I became concerned. <br> On enquiring, (after being put through to 3 different departments), I was told that I should have cancelled the contract. I signed a contract 13 years ago and should have known this. The consultant informed me that the technicians are not employed by FNB, and therefore it is not their duty to inform me of the cancellation procedure. I promptly cancelled the \contract"";it will cost you a minimum fee of R1284 per month. My suggestion is that you immediately terminate your card machine form FNB and rather go to CAPITEC who does not have any of these hidden fees.<br> """
