BEWARE FNB IS THERE!

BEWARE! 1. I was billed random amounts (R100+ - R900+) by TELKOM for more than 8 months, every month, AFTER I had cancelled my Telkom contract! The excuse was that once a debit order is established IT CAN NEVER BE CANCELLED! This is because the SYSTEM can't stop an amount one cent different from the original one! FNB wasn't interested. Nothing we can do. Just shut up and suffer. 2. An FNB branch worker (or the SYSTEM?) cancelled a contract I had with Cell C. Cell C went ballistic and started taking different amounts from my account too! I called FNB. The SYSTEM SAID NO! Nothing. No help. No interest. OK... 3. So I visited a branch where, after waiting 45 minutes, a young man swaggered out, sat down, leant back arms crossed and said "Yes?". I began telling him but he stopped me and said, "What do you expect me to do about it? I'm a banker. Go and ask one of those little girls" (the meeters and greeters). 4. Months went by and Telkom and Cell C eventually went away (except for the occasional threatening sounding phone call). SO... 5. THEN R4000 slid out from under and began (monthly!) to go to the fully paid up account at a school where I pay fees annually. R4000 MONTHLY! School is closed. SYSTEM can't help. 6. Now guess what? Cell C is back! As a debit order, withdrawing as they please! AM I GOING MAD? IS THIS ME? AM I MISSING SOMETHING?

FIANLLY!!
Re FNB
After a year of frustration, loss of finances, letters to Hello Peter and My Broadband, the Banking Ombudsman yada yada... I got no response, no mail, or, if someone from FNB DID call, only bafflement followed by complete indifference from FNB followed by rudeness, avoidance, errors and misinformation.
Then...TODAY
I FINALLY...a year after it all began... got a call from someone who is intelligent and listened, who knows what she is talking about, does not treat me like an idiot (I have two MA degrees not that it matters these days) investigated, acted and is doing something about ... all in two days!
I am blown away.
Please wish me luck.
And...thank you HELLO PETER!
