Besides the exorbitant bank charges on my account, it is rocket science to open an account for my 18 year old!

I rep**** to an email offering for my daughter to have her own bank account and card not linked to mine now that she is 18 years old with all the requested documents. This was on the 3rd May. By the 10th I had not heard a thing so I emailed again, by the 16th still no reply, I then emailed a third time to which I received a call saying that I needed to send a copy of her ID (it was attached, page 12 to be exact, to the initial email), I re-sent it. Apparently this was not legible on their side (perfectly find on mine). This happened three times until I increased the size to of which both sides of the ID filled the A4 paper and re-sent. This was on Friday the 20th, it is now the 24th May and i have heard nothing. This is terribly inefficient and she has not been able to deposit wages. Completely inconvenient to say the least. With the exorbitant bank charges on my account it is probably best to bank elsewhere anyway, they are probably doing me a favour.

Thank you very much, I received an abrupt email from Refilwe Mosuoe at retail complaints stating that the account is activated. Really? Let me consult my crystal ball for the account number to deposit my daughters wages into or how and when I will get her card! This was on Wednesday, still no response! Today I received an email to say R700 for international card deliveries and I need to respond to the email. I had no idea that Benoni was over the rainbow! It is a total nightmare just to open a new account!!

Kindly be advised that International Delivery costs R700, client needs to accept delivery fee before delivery can be arranged.
Please do provide Full International Address, x2 International Contact Numbers & ID No..
Also do confirm card that requires delivery.

Again another email stating I need to pay R700 for international card deliveries, like FNB's bank charges aren't enough? Benoni IS NOT INTERNATIONAL!!!! Followed by an email from cbs card queries asking for an item number?? What item number exactly? I don't know who has taken FNB over but it has certainly gone down hill. If this isn't resolved before the end of this week i will definitely open her account elsewhere and move mine. This is absolutely ridiculous, a month later & no account number to bank her wages into. Refilwe's abrupt email stated that the account is activated to which I asked for the account number, still hasn't bothered to reply!!
