Being thrown around - bad!

In 2012 some outstanding amount on my cheque account was written off. I was never even contacted about said amount. The account has also been closed. I went under debt review in 2009 and have now finally managed to pay off all debt aside from the home loan account I have with Standard Bank. I asked the debt councellor for a clearance certificate but suddenly this account came up. I made about a half hour worth of call earlier in order to get someone to help me. My debt counsellor contacted FNB's debt review department. They told her I, the cumstomer, need to contact their recoveries department. I called ********** 000 and after a short while spoke to someone there. After some frustration I got transferred to some other department. After MUCH frustration this lady simply told me to contact the debt review department. I called the debt review department who once again mentioned the recoveries department. I'm chasing my tail. This is frustrating. All I want to do is get out from under debt review and this is the on letter preventing that! My account number is ********** 4616.
