On the 28th of April I had an available balance of R5. FNB Processed debit orders that should not have been due to insufficient funds. my account is now in an overdraft of R1800 including unpaid fees charged by FNB. I do not have an overdraft, nor did I request FNB to honor any debit orders , If there are insufficient funds the debit orders should bounce, this is ridiculous, and now for the pending transactions as well FNB will charge a fee to process them. What is the need to have an available balance if FNB does as it pleases. This is ridiculous, it really is. Why does FNB feel the need to do my banking as and how it feels , this is absurd. Futher more what is the purpose of showing an available balance if FNB is not going to abide by it as well
