Banking for Non South Africans

FNB, I have received 2 emails notifying that my account will be blocked if I do not update my work permit. I called the call centre looking for the correct person to speak to and finally got to speak to a certain manager who I explained to that I have been waiting for my permanent resident permit for over a year and the only thing I can submit is my application receipt. We all know about the delays at the home affairs.

The application receipt allows me to travel for now until such a time as my permit is out. I submitted the receipt and proof of address to fnbkyc on the 20th of april and received a reply that the documentation had been received and accepted. Why am I receiving secondary emails that suggest that my account will still be blocked?

Furthermore, it is almost impossible to get through to anyone at the bank who understands and able to give direct answers.

I need clarity on the following - Can i be guaranteed that my account will not be blocked as I have submitted my receipt?

I have several accounts with the bank including a business account with my wife and need assurance that our business will not be affected.

I would appreciate if someone with the correct level of clearance would resolve this.
