Banking
I very unexpectedly lost my employment of 14 years in February this year. I managed to sell my other house and am waiting for the sale to complete. Transfer documents were signed at the lawyers 29.05.2019.
It will still be a few weeks before i receive the R310 000 proceeds from this sale which will enable me to pay off and close my credit card and two personal loans i have.
This was communicated to Fnb early on so that they were aware i would have no income bar for my partners R9000 a month. All were very friendly and help, Roxy at Premier credit card division and Precious from collections department.
I now receive an sms legal action has started because my cheque account is R1200 in arrears. I am aware of this and can do nothing until i receive above mentioned funds.
If this is how Fnb treats its Premier clients then all they have achieved is losing a good client. I will keep my cheque account as all my debit orders are linked to this account, as for future investing etc i will not support this bank.
Be aware that life goes sideways for anybody even for Private clients so to syart legal action over a silly amount of R1200 is ridiculous and a waste of time snd money, and that after speaking to collections and informing them yet again of my predicament.
