Bank is not efficient in assisting me with settlement letter .

They are a bank that have very limited resources or infrastructure . This extremely sad for a privately run organization. This week alone i probably spent +/-9 hours on hold or been transferred from department to department .I also found that when an agent cant assist they simply tell you to hold and cut the call. I had a credit card dating back around 2011 or 2012 that was recorded on my name recently +/- 3 months ago. On Monday i got hold of their legal department who had advised they cannot help and i need to deal with the attorney . After communicating with the attorney i was promised that should i pay my the amount i would get my settlement letter confirming my debt has been paid on Tuesday 25/01/2022 . This call was recorded and can be verified .I was mislead .Based on that i made the payment . Every day since then i have to keep calling the banks and attorney for that letter . The attorney say the bank is holding up the process and the bank says the attorney is holding back the process. It just a blame game between both parties . To date i have not received the letter confirming my debt has been settled . I called FNB numerous times pleading for assistance .As a bank institute I strongly feel they can do more than what they do . Its a simple letter . They can easily instruct their service provider(Attorney) to speed the process. Banks should appoint attorney that are prompt and efficient . Personally i feel this bank either is not efficient or employ attorney that are not efficient . One cannot wait forever for a simple letter which is probably automated . I WAS BETTER OF NOT PAYING MY DEBT .WHAT IS THE POINT PAYING YOUR DEBT AND STILL NOT BE ASSISTED BY THE BANK CONFIRMING THE DEBT IS PAID OFF . FNB is a useless bank and due to this delay my credit report is messed up .
