Bank Changed my SURNAME
I am VERY upset

I opened my FNB bank account in 2012 under my new married surname. I have an embossed card with my surname and been using it all along. When I wanted to collect my new card from FNB expiring tomorrow I am told that I need to bring an original (and not an original certified copy which I have) marriage certificate to the bank in order to verify my surname. Apparently when I was married to another man 10 years ago, my surname got changed to that of my ex! When I asked why and how! I was told I had vehicle finance with Wesbank years ago! I did not!!! My ex did! So now I am forced to get an original marriage certificate, take time off work to stand in a queue to get it and pay for it!! ONLY because FNB changed my surname!! I opened my account under my current surname and at the time provided my original marriage certificate!!! I will find another bank. FNB is PATHETIC AND **********.
