Bad treatment of customers
I am a client of FNB for more than 20 years and they upgraded me to a private clients a few months ago. To make a long story short my husband was retrenched in Aug 2016 which make me the sole breadwinner with only one income. I managed to coupe for a year but it became impossible to proceed. He app**** fir debt review but i was forced to join because our bond are in both iur names. I tried to move my bond to FNB and request access money to consolidate debt but it was declined by FNB due to affordability so our next option was debt review to prevent us loosing our assests.
On the day FNB was informed of our debt review the immediately decreased my approved overdraft facility and took all the available funds in my account leaving me penny less with no money to buy food fuel pay electricity and water. Due to debt review i cannot make any further debt so debt review negotiated with FNB fir 2 weeks before they informed them that they need a signed letter from me indicating the funds to be released and to support debt eraser case which was submitted to FNB and they confirmed that funds will be released after 5 working days. It expired yesterday and funds should have been released today back into my account but nothing no explanation no money just nothing. How am i suppose to pay my water and electricity account and buy food and fuel if FNB took all my available funds in my account. It is almost end September and i still struggle to get funds back.
I am devistated over the manner FNB is handling me after i was a private client and they make about R900 in charges per month from me since the were informed of debt review. I served and stayed loyal all these years to FNB and what do i get when i need my bank the most? Nothing i was removed as orivate client and they "stole" my last money i had which was mend for living expenses for September. I had to borrow money from family for food and fuel because i need fuel to drive to work and back. Travel 93km a day to work and back. If i do not go to work i will lost my job then we have no income.
I am so angry and devistated by the way FNB are treating me currently and i will inform all people who want to move to FNB not to do it because they do not value any clients nevermind private clients. I will also report this to the bank ombudsman tonight via email to investigate thid issue on my behalf.
