Bad Service Ever

My card was cancelled on the 14th January 2018 by a consultant called Mbali and who advised that since I have logged a ********** claim, FNB needed to investigate and they can only do that after my card has been cancelled. I tried to convince her that since my salary was due to be paid into my account on the 15th, which was the following day, can’t we rather postpone the cancellation of the card but she refused and advised that should the card be utilized for a bigger amount the bank won’t refund me as I have refused to cancel the card. Based on that threat I conceded.

Later in the day when I was speaking to a colleague of mine, he reminded me that those two transactions were when I was assisting him to purchase electricity online using my card. I then wrote an e-mail back to ********** and to ********** requesting the reversal of my request as I already found out where those disputed transaction were coming from but I never received a response.

On the 15th I then went to FNB Rosslyn Branch but was told that the card has already been issued and I needed to do a cardless transaction or I can order a temporary one. I opted for the temporary card as I was advised that by Wednesday, 17/01/2018 my card would have arrived. I am now surprised to hear from Thulani of FNB that my card was only being ordered on the 17/01/2018.

I find this to be totally unacceptable as I am under the impression that someone is either sleeping on duty or FNB just don’t care about customer service but profits. FNB can’t be charging private clients all these exorbitant fees but fail to deliver on its service. Why am I paying for these so called Value Added Service Fees if FNB is not coming to party? This is tantamount to *****ing from clients which is ********* practice on the part of FNB.
