Bad service
I was sent Money from overseas via Moneygram on Thursday 27/02. I opted to use FNB to receive the money so on Friday I opened a new account with them. When I tried to receive the money on the FNB app I got an error that “enter a valid reference number”. The branch contacted the Forex team and they told me the reference is fine and I should be able to receive the money. Still it didn’t work.
Monday I contacted the Forex team again, they still couldn’t assist and they said they would escalate to the Production team to investigate and they would give me feedback in 48hours. I accepted that. Yesterday I contact them and I’m told the Production team says I must contact Moneygram and see if there is no hold on the money. I call Moneygram today and they tell me my money is ready to be received there is no hold and that I can try Standard Bank. I call FNB back and they still tell me about the Production will investigate.
I have never seen such unprofessional lazy work, to wait for 48 hours just to be told to call Moneygram. No report on the findings or anything, why not call Moneygram themselves as part of the investigation.
I don’t believe FNB has not come across this issue which they should easily resolve. My experience with the consultants on the Instant chat on the app is worst than some Home affairs offices. Unathi, whom I was on a call with today gave me a little hope. But this experience makes me want to close the account because I will forever have issues with Global payments.
Can someone prioritise this !?!
