Bad New Customer Service & Lack of coherent system
I opened an account with FNB two weeks back and went to collect the card at a branch in cpt cbd. Money was deposited into my back account last week Friday and I have not had access to the whole weekend because the account was blocked. I went to the garage Saturday to put petrol for R200 only to find out my card was blocked. I had to call my brother to drive and come give me the money to pay for petrol. I could not buy food or pay my accounts with weekend. I did not even have money to buy airtime to call FNB. My son went to school with no lunch today. I called the call centre this morning only to be told that my account was blocked and I need to go into a branch to remove the block and take my proof of address and id. I informed the call centre agent that I had done this before hence I had a card. She told me she could not help me. I am at the bank now and they saying there is a breakdown or communication btwn the branch and the service centre. Please tell me what this has to do with me and accessing my money. Someone should have noticed that this account was blocked and need to be unblocked.
