Bad marketing decision

Who thought it was a good marketing idea to make logging into the mobile app a qualifying requirement for earning eBucks? There is no sense in this. I'll use the app when I need it which may be less frequently than once a month.

Logging into the app unnecesarily is:

1. A waste of my time and of no value to myself

2. A waste of FNB's resources and of no value to FNB

3. Sending me an SMS to tell me that I need to log in is a wate of money and of no value to FNB

Therefore, the only reason I can think of is for FNB to have an arbitrary reason to not not pay the eBucks. If you want to save money FNB, rather just cancel eBucks entirely instead of making your customers jump through arbitrary hoops, adding no value to anyone.
