Bad experience with FNB!!!!!

**Review of FNB Bank - Frustrating Experience with Fund Hold**

My name is Michael Adegbuyi, and I am writing this review out of sheer frustration and desperation regarding my experience with FNB Bank. My account number is ***. Since November 8, 2024, FNB has been holding my funds amounting to R1.7 million, and I feel compelled to share the distress this has caused me.

Upon the deposit of my funds on November 8, I was immediately contacted by FNB, demanding the source of the funds, my account name, and a letter from the sender. I comp**** with these requests on the same day, hoping for a swift resolution. However, since then, all I have received from FNB are automated responses. It feels as if my concerns are falling on deaf ears, as no one has taken the time to explain why my money is still being held or provide any real assistance.

I have visited my local branch more than three times, and each time I left feeling more disheartened than before. The customer service has been abysmal; no one seems to care about the impact this situation has had on my business and personal life. My life has effectively been put on hold since that date. I am unable to access my own money, which has left me in a precarious situation financially.

I have sent countless emails, but the responses have been nothing short of frustrating—more automated messages with no real answers. It is disheartening to feel like I am shouting into a void with no one to listen. The lack of transparency regarding the verification process is alarming. How long must I wait? Why has no case manager been assigned to my situation? These are questions that remain unanswered.

As the days have turned into weeks, I have received advice from others to consider involving a legal team. The thought of having to take such measures is daunting, but I cannot risk losing R1.7 million to a bank that seems indifferent to my plight. This isn't just an amount; it represents my livelihood, my future. The stress of this situation is overwhelming, and I fear that the toll it has taken on my mental health is significant.

I returned to my branch, hopeful that perhaps someone would finally give me a real answer. Instead, I was met with the same dismissive attitude, telling me there was nothing they could do. It feels as though FNB has intentionally decided to hold my money for reasons that serve their own interests rather than mine.

If I do not receive a tangible response from FNB and an assurance that my funds will be released soon, I will have no choice but to engage a legal team to recover what is rightfully mine. The process with them will begin on Monday if I do not hear back from a real person at FNB by then.

This entire experience has been too much for me, and I hope that by sharing my story, others will be aware of the potential risks involved with FNB. Customer support should be a priority for any bank, but in my experience, FNB has fallen woefully short.
