Awful Experience with Activating my Card

I am highly disappointed in the service received as a new client of FNB. On the 22nd of January 2019, I have opened an Gold Cheque account with FBN online (As for I work full days and unable to go into a branch). The card was delivered as communicated to me by CCD couriers. However the activation of the card is a BIG PROBLEM!!

As per the documentation received with the card on the 28th January 2019, I am able to activate my card via online banking or the banking App. However, I am unable to make use of eater one on these services as for I have not registered for iContact and need to go into a Branch to get this activated. WHY do things online then??

I tried phoning the number on the back of my card to speak to a consultant regarding my concern on the 29th. But once again I am unable to get through to a consultant as for my account does not exist under my ID number nor the last 6 numbers on my card. Eventually I got through to an consultant (Thogo Ntholeng). She asked me security questions to be able to view my account. This was a relive that she was able to pick up my account. I asked her to activate my card as for I am unable to go into a branch for this. She asked me did I make a deposit into the account and I said no, I do not even have my account number? How am I suppose to make a deposit? She could not answer my question. She once again advised me to use the online banking/banking App to activate my card and I once again explained I cannot use this service as for I don not have iContact.

Eventually she mentioned, FNB have not received my documentation from CCD (Copy of my ID, deceleration form and Copy of my residential address), and I need to phone again in 2 working days if the card is not activated. I asked how am i suppose to know if the card is activated or not? Once again she did not answer my question.

Online services are there to make the process easier, however my experience thus far was awful and I don't even what to proceed with the application nor activating my card.

Can I please have useful assistance or information regarding the above problem.
